Bio

Sean Finan concentrates his practice in the areas of regulatory compliance, licensing, fraud and abuse, Stark law, clinical research, health care transactions and government investigations.  He has represented hospital clients in Medicaid reimbursement matters, state funding issues, and with regard to supplemental payment programs; in statewide, public private partnership transactions; in the establishment and operation of joint ventures; in numerous sales and acquisitions, including drafting of transaction documents, conducting regulatory due diligence, addressing licensure and certification transfers, and compliance issues; and in new development projects.  He has represented practices and physicians in various compliance and regulatory issues; in various regulatory and transactional matters, including restructuring and joint ventures; in compliance audits; in the review and negotiation clinical trial agreements.

Throughout his career, Sean has been consistently recognized as a leading healthcare lawyer. He has been listed in Best Lawyers in America® in Health Care Law (2018 – 2022) and was Baton Rouge’s Healthcare Law “Lawyer of the Year” in 2019 and 2021.   • Sean earned his B.S. in Zoology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in 1997.
