Bio

Blair operates the New Orleans office of Alexander Sides, working also out of the firm’s main office in Baton Rouge. Blair’s transactional practice focuses on taking a creative approach to business, real estate, and commercial contract issues. His affinity for the written word informs his belief that words have real meaning with potentially far-reaching implications.

Blair graduated magna cum laude from LSU Law in 2013, serving as Managing Editor for the Louisiana Law Review and earning the W. Lee Hargrave Award for most outstanding overall service to the Law Review. After law school, Blair spent two years as a business and commercial transactions associate at Jones Walker in New Orleans. He then served as in-house counsel at Smoothie King Franchises in Metairie, Louisiana, for two years. Blair joined Alexander Sides in January 2018. Prior to law school, Blair taught English for three years at his alma mater, Marist School in Atlanta.

Blair has experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts for client-focused initiatives (including purchase, lease, supply, distribution, and services contracts), organizing business entities, conducting title and transaction due diligence, preparing loan documentation, and resolving franchise law issues.

Blair is an avid sports enthusiast, runner, reader, and traveler. He lives in New Orleans with his wife and two daughters.

EDUCATION

  • Blair received his B.A. in 2007 from Washington and Lee University, majoring in English and Politics.

  • He then graduated magna cum laude with his J.D. / D.C.L. from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 2013.
